how I spent my weekend.
Today I watched like 5 episodes of thirtysomething. How 1980s-adult of me, right? ok, but the weird thing here (and this IS weird) is that these "thirtysomethings" are the same age as Lev and I...and they were the same age as our parents when the show was filmed. So if my math is right, that means that in 25 years I'll be done with my thirties, in a major way. We better get with the program!
I did go to the park with friends today (it was so beautiful), and yesterday I had lunch with an old friend. But the thirtysomething revelation...that may take all of next weekend to process. Or it would, but Lev and I are in Portland.

saturday morning
I'm sitting at our dining room table right now. I'm so glad it is not last week at this time; we did not even know what we were in for on Sunday. Lev and I are in agreement--we will never move again!
Last night I hung out with the lovely Bria, and she ended up cutting my mop. I learned that my hair had been looking rather rectangular, and to prevent this it is important to get my hair shaped regularly. We also discovered that it had been a year since she'd last cut it. Time flies, especially when you are a slob (meeeeeeeee????).
Today Lev and I are heading down to our old apartment to get the last odds and ends out and to clean. When I move out of a place I never want to go back, ever again, which could account for the many missed deposit returns on my part. But we are doing it! I'm manning up, so to speak, and getting my butt down there for some good old-fashioned mopping.
One hundred and seven days until we get married! Happy Saturday to all!

the lay of the land
Our house! We aren't all the way unpacked and my plants are still at the other apartment, where they will stay until Saturday when we clean it out.

ten
Ten things that make me happy:
1. Lev's curly hair
2. The green leaf-buds on the tree outside my window at work--spring is here!
3. Spending 8.5 hours a day doing something I really enjoy. Job satisfaction, oh yeah!
4. Our new, so-incredibly-beautiful apartment that is around the corner from one of my close friends in Chicago
5. 116 days until Lev and I get married
6. The love and fierce devotion of my family--I know it's cliché, but seriously
7. My brother and I are getting married in the same summer
8. Muscle soreness--I'm getting into shape, good, tra-la
9. Lev's love of me lightly scratching his back when he's lying in bed
10. LEVY! duh! He makes me deliriously happy and I'd be lost without him!
